'Unemployed' is not my chosen state of being. The good part about it, though, is I have a lot of time to consider what I want to do in life. It's odd how much time is taken up by life when you don't have a job to be at.

Freelance, freelance, and a little more freelance. Just finished up working on OurFamilyWeb.com. It was all coded in CakePhp which was kind of interesting to work with.

The worst part about the whole thing is that it was done in tables... blech. I was able to bend most of them to my will, but I ended up just switching some of them to divs so they would actually stop being stupid. Next project is Sharp Transportation. It's going to be a big one!

I did some pretty awesome pictures for The Wizard of Oz picture I've been working on. I've got the Scarecrow and the Tin Man all drawn up and I'm way happy with them!

I think Dorothy is going to be the death of me, though. I've already done five different versions of her and none of them are right... I did do one thumbnail that was pretty decent, though. We'll see how an embiggened version of that one goes.

I started reading The Wonderful Wizard of Oz recently. It's a lot different from the movie...

I've done a few sketches, mostly thumbnails and what not, but I'm excited to get going on it!

Just got back from Chicago. I haven't been there in nearly fifteen years, but I still love that city. I got the chance to go to the Art Institute which I've always wanted to do.

The sheer amount of creativity in that place is staggering. I've never had the opportunity to see a Rembrandt up close, or a Van Gogh. El Greco's work was absolutely amazing as well.

I only got to spend a few hours there. Hopefully I can go back soon and spend a lot more time.
